    your humor style:
    CLEAN | SPONTANEOUS | DARK

Your humor's mostly innocent and off-the-cuff, but somehow there's something slightly menacing about you. Part of your humor is making people a little uncomfortable, even if the things you say aren't themselves confrontational. You probably have a very dry delivery, or are seriously over-the-top.

Your type is the most likely to appreciate a good insult and/or broken bone and/or very very fat person dancing.

    Crossposted long post
I haven't written anything on LiveJournal or Yahoo 360 in a long time, or on MySpace at all, so I'm just going to be writing stuff today that I think of and post 'em all over on all 3. If you care about looking at the others, they're at http://atari2600tim.livejournal.com/ and http://www.myspace.com/cmdrkeen2 and http://360.yahoo.com/cmdrkeen2 Obviously, me writing the following is no endorsement of it being interesting or major news or anything like that. Also, it's probably going to be random and unrelated things.

MTVu was at my campus on Thursday the 14th. That's the College Television Network's new name after MTV bought them (U for University I think). Tickets were I think $11 or $12, and I did not have work on Thursday night, AND I was already on campus. Still, I didn't bother to go. I walked past going to the parking lot on the way home, and they were doing promos on camera (not MTV or even MTV2, but maybe some friend might see me if they're in a college dorm or something) and talking about contests and stuff, but stiiiiill didn't bother with it. Now I feel like an old man 'cause I don't care about MTV being around nor care about being on TV. I would have cared about getting a free NintendoDS or other prizes from their games, but I'm not into pop music trivia and whatever other games they were doing.

WWE Backlash is gonna be at Rupp Arena on the 30th. Me and my dad, his friend and my brother are all going, plus some 5th person which will probably end up being someone in his friend's family unless my sister or one of my brother's friends goes with... hopefully he'll ask Alden to go with 'cause he's cool. We went to one of the WWE house shows (untelevised) last year, and it was alright, we're gonna be sitting a little farther back I think, but not too far. We did rush out to beat the traffic though, which made me frustrated. My brother asked if I'd go with him and go find somewhere to buy a shirt that he saw someone else wearing. I said "let's go after the show" right in front of my dad. Then when John Cena was in the ring celebrating his victory at the end, pretty much right after the 1-2-3, dad jumped up and said something like "we need to go now-now-now!" and we all got outside... My brother said "Are we gonna get the shirt now?" after we got in the car. I looked in the rear-view mirror and saw dad's concern about traffic just disappear off his face. I said "I'll find it on eBay or something", and he offered to pay shipping and stuff, but I never got around to it anyway. I just hope nothing annoying like that happens again.

I'd like to take the LSAT (Law School Admittance Test) at some point soon, it's gonna be June 12 with a registration deadline of May 9, so I'll have to remember that or else wait and do the September 30 one which needs to be registered for by August 29. I want to do a bunch of sample tests before I go and take it though, as I want >163. I haven't gotten around to even doing a full sample test yet, but a few months ago I did part of a sample test in a time faster than needed (like I did 25% of the questions in less than 25% of the time or whatever).

I've been thinking about teaching one of the undergraduate classes that's offered at my college. I could confidently do one or two of the first computer science classes, and one philosophy class. I know the material for more, but there's only a few I'd have confidence doing to start out :P I'm not sure if teaching college classes is something I'd like to do very much, but I'd like to see what it's like for one semester or so at least. I'd especially not want to do too much work when I have to do classes myself though... I don't have a Master's degree yet, and only one minor (which I'm thinking of changing to a second major) so I'm not content yet :P I guess I should ask about it sometime and get info about what I'd need to do to teach something in the fall... I know you don't need a Master's to teach CSC 104 'cause one of my classmates Steve teaches stuff on campus and he was in some of my undergrad classes. I could confidently teach Introduction to Computer Science... I didn't even take this class and I'm sure Steve didn't (it's a repeat of stuff I did in middle and high school), but I did tutor some people that took the class, and I went in and taught a lesson to the class one day. When I was a tutor, the teacher went in to where I was sitting, asked if I knew about this and this... I said yes, followed her to the room thinking that she was getting prepared before class and had encountered something obscure she hadn't looked at in a long time... we got to the room and saw a whole class of people sitting... I thought they were occupied with a quiz or something and that we'd go off to one computer and show her individually before her class... she handed me her pointer thing and wanted me to teach it to the whole class! It went okay, and I explained everything except for one thing I had forgotten at the moment but eventually remembered as they were leaving. They all said that I did good and everything with it. I would also be good at teaching 'Critical Reasoning and Logical Thinking' which is one that comes right after Intro. to Philosophy (I wouldn't wanna teach Intro though). I took it one summer, and got every example from the book... all I did in that class was learn some terminology, because I'm very good with logic. We covered enough sample problems from the book that I think there was at least one every day that I explained myself which nobody got until I explained it. I remember one in particular that the teacher said "hmm, you'll need to show me this after class", which was regarding pet lovers where there was a catch that some people could own pets but not be pet lovers, or something like that... all pet owners were pet lovers, but you had to figure out that one could love pets but not own any. Anyway, I'm good at showing that kind of thing and making parallel examples or even making up new examples if I know what concept needs explained.

I'm still single, but looking and stuff. There's somebody at work named Katie that catches my eye, but I've seen her smoking, which is a huge huge huge turn-off. We're in KY though, and almost everybody smokes, I don't know if she was because it'd seem rude to talk to smokers without doing it, or if she does it on her own. If she was being polite because she was hanging around someone who has a tobacco farm, that'd be a slight bit different than loving the smell/taste/whatever. I do think I remember hearing her say that she agrees with somebody that smoking's gross though... that's the reason I haven't had it be a clear no in my mind :P I think I would ask her out maybe if I knew how to ask for a date and also figure out a polite way of saying don't do anything gross on the date :P That'd be a bit much though, I think I've only ever really asked someone on a date once anyway (and Harry Potter's out of the theaters now, so I don't think we're gonna go see it together now, doh), and I'm shy enough that I don't wanna make it all complicated and stuff asking. Aside from Katie, I would also be interested in dating Stephanie from work if she got divorced, Estrella if she did, maybe somebody else if she breaks up with her boyfriend and stops smoking, and Robin if we get to talk some. That sounds like a lot of people, but I think I'm very picky still. Assuming Katie's single, that's only 2 available people I'm interested in. I think I must be attracted to confidence and friendliness and other things that girls show off moreso when they're in a relationship. Either that, or I have the same interests as other guys, and everybody else just snatched up the girls first :P

I just now checked MySpace to see if I got approved on Robin and Katie's friend requests (different Katie than previous paragraph), and I also deleted the 4 friends I don't remember, who just invited me to be friends randomly a long time ago. So, now my bulletin thing actually has cool stuff on it :P No offense intended to the ones I took off my friends of course, but they had less interesting bulletins... quite a bit of the "repost this or else ___ will happen" things. I saw my sister when I was searching MySpace a couple days ago, but I'm not gonna add her or point myself out to her 'cause we have mostly different friends and all so it'd be kinda annoying :P

Also, if you're someone who reads my blog stuff and don't know the others on my list (most my friends don't know each other), here are who the other people on my friend list are... On MySpace, Trelly is Estrella mentioned earlier, I know her from a game that we both met on years ago, Scott is also on there, as is "please, shoot me.", John Cena is a wrestler in WWE and I put him on my list 'cause my little brother wanted to pay attention to his MySpace thing, KT I met randomly on the 'net after she found my profile and decided to talk to me. Robin's home town is where my college is at, but she's taking classes elsewhere, so we haven't gotten to hang out and stuff, I did see her in person a few times at her job last summer though, but was way too shy to socialize. I have a book and shirt or two which I bought just as an excuse to go to the store she was working at though :P On 360, Mandi lives somewhere near me and we started talking after finding my profile, and Robin is the same one as the MySpace one. On LiveJournal, a majority are people who play on the same game as me and Estrella and Scott (he's takuhi on LJ), most of which I haven't talked with much in a while. Most of the others mentioned above I have talked to lately... this week I talked with Mandi and Estrella.

As mentioned in the previous post, I finally got through to someone that I found on Yahoo Personals last year, and I am very interested in her. She's smart, tall enough to hug me without being awkward (this actually matters, I'm 6'5"), ambitious, doesn't smoke, really cute (people who know my tastes could probably pick her out) and lived only about a 45 minute drive away from me. If I had to write a profile for an ideal person I wanted, it would match hers for a big chunk of it. Her interests overlap with mine enough that I think we could enjoy each others' company, except that I'm bad at dancing and one or two other things. I never signed up for a paid account on Yahoo Personals (which you have to do in order to get any contact info), but I found a member profile that matched her personals profile (same location and profession and picture). I e-mailed it, but didn't get a response at all.

Then, this summer, I saw her at a book store near my school, and was terribly shy, so I didn't tell her that I recognized her from the web and that I'm interested in her. I did go back to the store a couple more times planning to talk some, but I'm just too shy to, so all that resulted in was me saying hi and buying stuff. I went and looked a couple times during the first week of fall classes, and figured that she must not work at that store anymore. I learned her first name from her nametag, but that doesn't help much. I was still thinking about her a bit though.

Earlier this week, I searched for that yahoo username on Google, and saw that she had more recently used the same user name on another web site that has pictures and chat and forums and stuff. I won't mention the web site nor her user name because I don't want my friends messaging her saying how nice a guy I am and stuff. I'm not suave or anything, but maybe I'll make an okay impression on my own maybe.

Well, anyway, I signed up there, and sent her a mail thing basically saying what I said above... that I had saw her on yahoo personals and was interested in her, and even had seen her in person but was too shy to tell her that I was interested in her.

I figured that with my luck I probably wouldn't hear back again, but was very pleasantly surprised when she replied within a few hours, and said that I sound nice and she's flattered that I was shy with her, and she understands being shy, etc.

Sooo, I replied to hers with a message that was a bit longer than I should have written, bleh. I included all my contact info in it, so maybe I'll hear back from her again if I'm lucky. I haven't gotten any IMs or anything yet though, so am kinda antsy. She lives farther away and goes to a different school now, but she comes home (to see her family I would assume) semi-often, and home is alot closer to my house than her school is. This is labor day weekend, so I have my hopes up that she'll be home this weekend and I can possibly go visit her. I think I may have gone overboard with my message though, and might make me sound too eager and stuff, so I don't know if she'll even respond to it :(

If she does, and is interested, I don't really know what to do :P I'm thinking of going shopping at a mall or to a movie or out to a restaurant, or something like that. Her "home" is in a college town, so I'm sure there's a few more things to do around there than there are around my own town. I'm not a bar-type person, but there's bowling and a pool and other stuff around there I guess, or just go on a walk or something.

    stuff about me
I found someone extremely interesting on Yahoo Personals a while back (beginning of last year!), and had found a Yahoo user name of hers by searching the member directory for her location and profession, and found the one with a matching picture. Then after failing to contact her, I searched Google for that user name to see if I could find a name on AOL IM or something, and didn't find anything useful. Then more recently I did the same search, and found something useful and actually got through to her. This makes me extremely happy. I will write more about that later. However, this got me interested in what I might find if I was somebody else looking for me and only knew me from my user name. So, I searched for atari2600tim and cmdrkeen2 which are both usernames that I have at places. I decided to collect quotes from myself on forums, and weird things about myself.

    cmdrkeen2:

Top 3 results are my yahoo profile, a log of me talking to a guy who is allegedly Iranian, and then a Commander Keen web site I made in 1995 or 1996 (I'm curious now... I'll figure out a an accurate date later).

This brings up a bunch of posts on Mud Magic because it lists my Yahoo Messenger user name of cmdrkeen2...
Here's a quote on Mud Magic that I liked, from
    http://www.mudmagic.com/boards/bases/4/9243/9311
"As of 2005, there is still only one MUD in existance capable of writing a message repeatedly with random varying timing. In fact, outside of the MUD realm, only a few pieces of software have ever accomplished either of these feats in the software layer without having to emulate it via hardware. Many have emulated the 'repeated message' ability with hardware (using cells extracted from parrot brains built into the motherboard), but almost no repetition is ever possible in software. Random number generators are also emulated via hardware in a complicated process involving spider monkeys. Regardless of if this is possible with just software, Dave and Lil' John both obviously played this particular MUD, and stole the repeated message+random timing idea."

Have an account on Alsherok's forum.

Have written stuff on the Zynna mailing list.

Mudlists.com page about The Eternal Fantasy (The Eternal Fantasy itself isn't on the first page of results, bah!)

I am one of 2 of 11 users registered on the UIN forum. Only 3 people have posted anything, which is kinda funny I think. This is an ICE-MAN promotional thing, so I wasn't deleted when I got banned (thus my user name still being there). And I have 2 user names because the forum is buggy and I had to register twice.

Mud Domain page about the EF login screen.

Rentacoder has only one person registered in my town, and lists me.

mIRC egg page credits me for pointing out some egg which I copied and pasted from another web site back in 1997.

Somebody posted the URL for my commander keen web site on a forum.

I3 MUD list shows TimMUD, which has my e-mail address on the page.

    atari2600tim:

Top 3 results are my wikipedia profile, my livejournal, the lpc/mudos section of Mud Magic (despite it not having atari2600tim on the page).

My wikipedia profile says where I live and where I work at. Surprisingly, nobody has sent hired goons to attack me when it's so easy to find me. Luckily I didn't mention that I work there during 10pm-7am.

My livejournal has all kinds of stuff that reflects badly upon me or makes me seem like a bad guy, just scroll down some.

There are a bunch of links from quiz pages to my journal because my journal is listed as a referrer.

Mud Magic posts, because atari2600tim is listed as my AIM name.

Overall, I didn't find as much weird stuff as I had expected I might. But, that's from my own point of view. I have no idea what kind of impression I would make on someone who didn't know me.

    Flea market quotes
Yesterday I went to the flea market.

I was walking through pretty fast since I'm only interested in video games, and it's easy to pick out video games from the other stuff that's at the flea market. So, I was walking down one aisle thing and since I was going so fast, I was aware that nobody was behind me. Then at one of the tables in front of me I heard a little girl say "Is that a boy or a girl?". So, I stopped looking to the sides at tables, and glanced around ahead of me, and didn't see anybody too weird. Then it dawned on me and I thought to myself: "You forgot you have a beard and mustache." That's what happens if I have only one hour of sleep and then go out into public.

Later right before I left, there was somebody 35-40ish lady who I overheard say "...and the red ranger and the pink ranger. I was a kid when they came out." I'm terrible at guessing ages, but somehow I guess that she must have been around 20 in the time of the Power Rangers. Now I'm curious if she was younger than she looked, if she was exaggerating, or if there was something earlier with colored rangers.

I made Jinrokku feel sad and stuff, and then in my infinite benevolence, gave him an out by implying that perhaps he kept all his work offline in order to not use up disk space (since for quite some time, disk space was an issue).

I'm putting it in an LJ-cut thing since it's long.

I for some reason wanted to look at someone's profile on a dating thing at ittakes2.com, but you need to be a free member to browse. So, I signed up for the thing a long time ago, and they seem to randomly e-mail fake flirting messages, presumably because someone else looked at your profile and clicked the thing that says "I'm interested" or whatever. That'd be pretty cool, but this site is doing fake ones too.
Apparently it's not very picky when it matches people up...

...it matched me with myself, and claimed that I sent a flirt to myself. I got the flirt e-mails before, and they were always from like hotchick6969x or something, and I assumed they just created fake user names to match you up with. But, apparently they just randomly pick people, and don't even check if it's male and female or not.

Stupidest game I've ever heard of
One of my little brother's friends named Cameron is obsessed with being gay, and every game or argument or conversation or anything else is always about being gay, or else he will guide things toward it.
Here's a short summary of a game that my brother, Cameron, and Allen were playing earlier this week:
(I was uninvolved with the game, but they're loud and our house isn't sound-proof.)

Cameron: "Whoever doesn't touch Tracy's door is gay!"
    (running)
Allen: "Whoever doesn't touch Timmy's door is gay!"
(fast pattering of 3 sets of child-sized footsteps and a bang on my door as they all run into it)
My brother: "Whoever doesn't go outside is gay!"
(fast pattering of footsteps and whizzing sound of the screen door opening and closing, then opening and closing again a minute later when they return)
Cameron: "Whoever doesn't touch Allen is gay!"
    Allen: "ahh! ahh!"
(I somehow resist yelling "THAT IS THE GAYEST THING YOU COULD POSSIBLY DO!!!")

You have a natural ability to express yourself in public, and you always make a very good impression.

Good with words, you excel in writing, speaking, and possibly singing.

You are energetic and always a good conversationalist.
